WWYD Wednesday- Antique Desk

I saw this antique desk for sale on a local e-cafe site similar to Craigslist and I wondered, "What would I do with it?" That's when I knew it would be a perfect question to post to my readers for What Would You Do (WWYD) Wednesday.
If you bought this, what would you do with it? Would you leave it as is? Or would you do something about the blue paint? Then, once it was finished the way you like, how would you use it?

Leave your ideas in the comments below and I'll choose my favorite idea by next WWYD Wednesday.

  1. My friend covered her top with chalkboard paint, then kids just sit and draw right on it! I'd leave the nice robin egg color.

  2. If I were a homeschooling mom this would be great. After all, that's what it's for - school. But this has the added appeal of an antique look. With that built in book holder it would make things more organized at any rate. (I was homeschooled myself, so this was an obvious use to me.) :-) As for the color - maybe let the kid who's going to use it decide, just for fun.

It would also make a great art desk for the budding artist - regardless of schooling type.
