After all, that's what it's for - school. But this has the added appeal of an antique look. With that built in book holder it would make things more organized at any rate. (I was homeschooled myself, so this was an obvious use to me.) :-) As for the color - maybe let the kid who's going to use it decide, just for fun. <br /><br />It would also make a great art desk for the budding artist - regardless of schooling type.Mary E.
